ANNOUNCES ASSISTING HARMON INDUSTRIES
WITH THE BART AATC PROJECT
BIG FLATS, NEW YORK, October 1, 1996--
ORTHSTAR, Inc., a Systems, Simulation and Software Engineering organization,
today announced it has entered into a multi-year contract to assist HARMON
Industries, Inc. with the development of the Bay Area Rapid Transit ( BART)
Advance Automatic Train Control (AATC) System.
ORTHSTAR's responsibility is the development of the trainborne train control
system and the non-vital wayside controller system. The AATC uses the Hughes
Aircraft EPARS radio technology for train to wayside communication.
