ORTHSTAR ANNOUNCES THE AWARD 

OF THE MTA METRO-NORTH SIMULATOR CONTRACT

HORSEHEADS, NEW YORK, July 29, 2002 -- ORTHSTAR, Inc. announced today the recent contract award of a Genesis Series 2 Locomotive Simulator. With this contract ORTHSTAR, Inc. will design, build, test, and maintain software and hardware for a Genesis 2 Locomotive and Train Simulator for Metro-North Railroad, an agency of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) based in the New York City area.

The simulator will be used by Metro-North's Training Department as part of the training and certification process for engineers who operate locomotives in passenger service. The Genesis 2 simulator will be a state-of-the-art locomotive simulator encompassing some of the most advanced computer technology, while relying on proven components and models that have been field tested and fine-tuned over a number of years.
