ORTHSTAR ANNOUNCES THE LOCOMOTIVE PART TASK TRAINER,
The LPTT-2
BIG FLATS, NEW YORK, February 20, 1998--ORTHSTAR, Inc., a Systems, Simulation and Software Engineering
organization, announced today that a new simulation product, the Locomotive Part
Task Trainer (LPTT-2), is now available from ORTHSTAR.
This product is a portable desk-top simulator for training Locomotive Engineers
and others in the use of Air Brakes Systems. ORTHSTAR developed this product for
the initial release using the mathematical model of the WABCO EPIC Air Brake as
its primary configuration. This device is configurable with other Air Brake
models.
This device is being selected by the new Training Division, the "Railway
Education Service", of WABCO as an instruction tool for Air Brake training
at the customers site. ORTHSTAR is pleased that WABCO has selected ORTHSTAR to
provide these devices.
WABCO Trainers will now have available a portable device with Air Brake Dynamic
details usually found only on large fixed Locomotive Simulators such as the
ORTHSTAR MODSIM Products.
