ORTHSTAR Announces Formation of New Division

ELMIRA, NEW YORK, January 26, 1999 -- ORTHSTAR, Inc., announces the formation of its new division, ORTHSTAR Technical Services. ORTHSTAR CEO James E. Orsillo states that " The Technical Service division is a natural extension of ORTHSTAR's current business practices and is designed to complement ORTHSTAR's Engineering Division and Systems Division"

ORTHSTAR, Inc. is a local Systems and Software development organization with a global presence that is celebrating its 25th year serving Fortune 500 clients. ORTHSTAR conducts software and systems development activities in aerospace and aircraft, railroad and transit, industrial automation and power utility industries. ORTHSTAR's move to become the anchor tenant in the Airport Corporate Park during the Spring of 1997 signified its commitment to growth and its desire to keep its headquarters in Chemung County.

The growing demand for ORTHSTAR's services and our desire to remain flexible in satisfying our Fortune 500 clients objectives throughout the Northeast is the impetus behind the formation of the Technical Services division.

Mr. Orsillo commented that "With the external needs of our clients acting on ORTHSTAR, the time is right to form the Technical Services Division. Most important though, from an internal management standpoint we have the right management mix to make this a sucess."

The Technical Services Division will have the responsibility for placing ORTHSTAR's engineers at client sites to support their internal and external engineering objectives. The new division will also have the responsibility of recruiting engineers to be placed. Mike Morrell, an Elmira native and longtime ORTHSTAR employee, will head up this new division.
