Computer Generated Imagery - CGI (3D Animation)
CGI is three dimensional, computer-generated animation that appears to be in a realistic environment. ORTHSTAR's CGI developmental tools, track definition tools and databases are used to create the forward and side views for its train operator simulators. Click here for more information
TrueView™
Used to integrate computer generated imagery into actual video frames, such as a motion picture scene of track video. This feature allows operator interaction with the simulation and creating alternate scenarios while the simulator is operating.

TrueGuide™
Allows a simulator instructor or maintainer to interface with simple point-and-click functions to the running simulator to define training scenarios, consists, alternate scenarios and student-instructor interaction.

SignaLink™
Places a virtual train on the tracks ahead of the simulated train. This package will interact with signaling, instructor, and creates situations for the student. The instructor sets up conditions when virtual train is desired.
Locomotive Part Task Trainer
Assists the locomotive engineer with specified functions such as Train Setup, Air Brake Setup, Trouble Shooting, and Control
Helicopter Part Task Trainer
There are numerous features available from this product. One of the most significant is the development of the AIRDATA computer that is suitable for "glass cockpit" in small turbine helicopters.
ESNE
Extended Sentient Non-Linear Ensemble ... a "New Wave" Adaptive Control System.
IDAS
Integrated Data Acquisition System ... a pattern recognition system that is capable of interfacing directly to a basic machine tool (Presses, Grinders, etc.) and controlling the basic tool in a consistent process control.
Thread Algebra
A mathematical technique that allows for the integration of events both logically and temporally in a new algebraic schema.
Parametric Simulation
A technique in which the parameters of large system designs, such as major weapon systems, can be analyzed for throughput and capacity.
SNAP
Solid-State Nuclear Applications Package ... Developed to predict the heat and radiation effects of various containers of nuclear waste.
