TrackSTAR's principle use is to determine the future performance of train traffic in a subdivision and update with current conditions every thirty minutes. It can
be utilized as a real-time and/or simulated time device. Track Assets can be changed, enabling Planning Groups to insert and remove sidings, spurs, parallel
tracks and determine the affects on train traffic and train plans with the operational business rules.
